Biography

Sandra Romac was born on September 9, 1997, in Zagreb, where she completed Kustošija Elementary School and X. Gymnasium "Ivan Supek". In 2016, she enrolled at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology as a full-time student in the undergraduate university study program in Chemical Engineering.

She completed her undergraduate studies in 2019 by defending her final thesis titled “Qualification of intermediers in AOP degradation of priority pollutants” under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Sc. Tomislav Bolanča. During this period, she served as a laboratory demonstrator at the Department of Analytical Chemistry.

After completing her undergraduate studies, she continued her education in the graduate program in Chemical Engineering at the same faculty. She completed her graduate studies in 2021 by defending her master's thesis titled Application of metal-modified oxide semiconductors for photocatalytic reduction” under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Marin Kovačić.

From 2018 to 2022, she volunteered in the student organization Board of European Students of Technology, where she was a member of the management board and later the supervisory board of the Zagreb branch.

Upon completing her studies, she was employed as an analyst at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, where she worked until October 2024. She then took on a position as an assistant at the Department of Polymer Engineering and Organic Chemical Technology at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology and enrolled in the University Postgraduate Doctoral Program in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry.
