Biography

Prof. Silvana Raić-Malić’s research activities have been focused on development of novel heterocyclic compounds with cytostatic and antiviral activity and model compounds for their application as PET-tracers in tumor diagnostic. She has published 93 scientific papers in peer reviewed CC and WoS journals in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry, 5 patent applications and 3 books. She was a principal investigator of 7 domestic and international scientific projects, mentor of 6 doctoral dissertations, supervisor of 75 Bachelor's degree works and Final master works and 5 rector's awards for student scientific work. She participated at more than 90 international and national conferences. She was a vice-dean for science and international affairs from 2009/2010 till 2012/2013, head of Department of organic chemistry at FCET 2007-2009 and 2015-2017, member of Committee for natural sciences of University of Zagreb 2009-2013, Master board for natural sciences, field – chemistry 2009-2013 and 2017-2025. From 2015 she is a associate editor of the Croatica Chemica Acta, member of the Committee for Chemistry in the Class of Mathematical, Physical and Chemical Sciences, Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts 2017-2022. She is a member of IUPAC, Chemistry and Human Health Division (VII) 2022-2026.
